David Bailey is to launch a new exhibition at Newham's Royal Docks on July 14 as part of Create 2012, an initiative which aims to bring art to local communities.
Inspired by the London borough in which he grew up, the event will feature a selection of pictures focusing on life in the East End, then and now. Other participants in the project include installation artist Jeremy Deller.
